Frequently asked questions

Common Shipping Questions Answered

Have a question not listed here? Contact our freight team.

Which ports and countries do you cover?

Over 45 ports across four continents — the Gulf and Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa. Our Dubai hub covers Jebel Ali, Khorfakkan and Fujairah. Other destinations can be arranged on request.

Do you handle dangerous goods?

Yes. DG cargo has been a core service for over five years, with Class 2 and Class 5 as our main competence. Send the UN number and class at enquiry stage so the correct service and documentation are arranged from the start.

Do you operate your own vessels and trucks?

Yes to both. We have operated seven container vessels to date and handle chartering, port agency and commercial management in house. On land, our sister company Khan Baba Cargo Transport runs a fleet of 60 owned trucks across the UAE and GCC.

What is the difference between door to door and port to port?

Port to port covers the ocean leg between two ports; you arrange collection, clearance and final delivery. Door to door covers the entire chain under one provider, including pickup, freight, customs and delivery to the final address.

What is cross stuffing and when do I need it?

Cross stuffing transfers cargo from one container to another at our warehouse. It is commonly used for consolidation, re-export, container swaps and when cargo needs to move onto a different service without returning to the original shipper.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Most enquiries are answered the same working day. Complete origin, destination, weight, volume and commodity details let the team quote faster and more accurately.
